Thanks for the fast answer Krug. I don't know if the carb compensates for altitude either. Maybe later if I do the white spacer mod I'll poke around in there a little to see how everything in there works. Just put the new muffler on. I LOVE IT! Sounds much better and seems to be running fine. The install only took me about 4 hours counting driving time to the shop (70 miles round trip) to get the new muffler and a short 20 min test ride. The hardest part was trying to get the old gasket out without damaging it too much. No leaks at idle and so far no soot marks indicating a leak.
